The title “Specialist lawyer for trade mark law” does not exist. Lawyers who specialise in trademark law or design law can acquire the title “Specialist lawyer for intellectual property law” if they have the relevant professional experience. In our law firm, 4 lawyers have already acquired this title. The other lawyers are endeavouring to obtain this title. The prerequisite is having worked as a lawyer for at least three years and having worked on more than 80 cases in the field of intellectual property law, i.e. trade mark law, design law, competition law or patent law.
Industrial property law essentially includes trade mark law, patent and utility model law, design law and competition law. In intellectual property law, we therefore primarily deal with the protection of ideas and their realisation.
In our day-to-day practice, we mainly advise on strategy, registration and protection of trade marks and designs. However, in addition to copyright law, competition law also plays a role time and again.
Our specialised attorneys therefore bear the title “Specialist Attorney for Intellectual Property”.
